Vellum Opinions?

-Anyone out there got an opinion on the book Vellum by Hal Duncan? It caught my eye in the bookstore ('cause, hey, it's got book-fetishism in it), but I don't know the author, and the reviews at Amazon are not entirely kind.

The First Step is Admitting You Have a Problem

-I own eight books of New Yorker cartoons. (Only two of which are those half-sized theme volumes.)

-There may be something wrong with me.
