I Knew It Would Come in Handy Someday

-Just had a phone interview with the one fellow from Job T I didn't meet yesterday. Part of it went something like this:

Interviewer: So, I'm wondering if you're aware of the scope of our product, and... Hey, wait, I was just looking down your resume [and got to the "Freelance Writer" part]. What roleplaying games have you written?

Jon: Well, my main publisher at the moment is Steve Jackson Games...

IV: I've played GURPS, sure, I thought your name was familiar. Which ones have you written?

Jon: [slightly amazed pause] Well, the most famous is the Hellboy RPG...

IV: That was a great book! Yeah, I've been playing GURPS since Man-to-Man, what was that, 15 years ago?

Jon: Going on 20 now.

IV: Hmm, yeah, that sounds right.

Jon: Well, I'm currently working on an update of Yrth, which you might remember from Orcslayer...

IV: You're doing that? Cool. That's going to follow [GURPS] Fourth Edition?

Jon: Yup.

IV: That's very cool. Neat. Uh, sorry about the digression.

Jon: Hey, no problem. It can only work in my favor.
