Your Pun-Fu is Mighty (If in Poor Taste)
Jun. 28th, 2004 12:07 pm-So, one of the latest supplements for the Silver Age Sentinels superhero RPG is Roll Call 3: Country Matters. It's a selection of characters from around the world -- i.e., from different countries. And they're all female.
(Some of you are now going, "Uh-oh.")
-The title comes from Hamlet, Act 3:
Hamlet: Lady, shall I lie in your lap?
Ophelia: No, my lord.
Hamlet: I mean, my head in your lap.
Ophelia: Ay, my lord.
Hamlet: Did you think I meant country matters?
-Now, Shakespeare was not above a pun or two. This being a largely PG-rated LJ, I'm not going to spell it out. But, I suspect someone at Guardians of Order (the publishers of SAS) just snuck a very derogatory title for a book of female characters past all their editors.
