While we're making a conscious effort to not force gender roles on her... the adorable just burns!

Your daughter is going to be a super power.

Do you do the thing where she gets to pick what she wears? We always give Z a choice, and in so doing, we are not forcing geekery on him when he chooses to wear his Captain America shirt. ;-)

We mostly leave the decisions by Roo to the shoe area. Partly because she's amazingly particular about shoes, and partly because she tends to say no to any clothing item... except pajamas. She love her "jammies!" Those we also let her pick out. She'll grab a set from the closet (they're kept on the lower shelves) and run around waving them and/or trailing them behind her yelling "jammies, jammies!"

We try to maintain a balance. Whenever we get anything too frilly we go out and buy something from the opposite end of the spectrum. For example, after buying that dress shown above last week, I went out and got her a black Spiderman t-shirt.

Have we mentioned she loves Spiderman? She pronounces it "Miderman" and as far as she's concerned he's the only superhero there is.

MIDERMAN! <3

Zach has a favorite shirt of a husky dog wearing a scarf. He calls it "Super DOG!" We occasionally have issues with him rejecting all clothes, but typically, he'll settle decidedly on one. I love this part. :-D
