Roo: Could Be Good, Could Be Bad...

Today, shortly before Roo's bedtime, I got out a couple of Lego bins I wanted to sort. The Legos mostly stay inside cabinets, so she hasn't had a lot of exposure to 'em. She sees the bins from across two rooms, and says, "Oh, blocks!" (Well, it's more like "bahx", but we translate.) She scampers over to me, and requires me to pick her up. I then open one of the bins, and she says, "Oooooooooooo, blooooocks!" like I just opened the Ark of the Covenant to reveal Santa clutching a pair of Choco-Tacos just for her.
She proceeded to assist (assume that word had sarcasm-quotes so mild I omitted them) as I ran a batch of plates through my Box4Blox, by pushing things down to the next level. She dropped a few, but not many, and I kept a close eye to make sure she didn't nom any. (Thankfully, we don't have one of those kids who puts everything in her mouth.) She was a bit cranky when mom took her away to bed.
So, it appears my Lego-fannishness is genetic. I hadn't expected it to manifest so strongly, so soon! I can see a lot of Duplo in my immediate future...
