Warning, Will Robinson!
Jun. 15th, 2004 12:28 pm-Someone just used Buy-It-Now to purchase a Magic: The Gathering Time Walk card from me on eBay for beaucoup bucks. However, this person joined eBay yesterday, has a feedback rating of 0, lists their location as United Kingdom, and their email address ends in .cn (China).
-I am not reassured.
-I sent them an invoice, and a personal message, using short sentences, telling them to email me immediately to tell me how they're going to pay. Let's see how this turns out.

Date: 2004-06-15 04:46 pm (UTC)For Buy It Now, I don't know. I've seen reference to people using Buy It Now just to get the system to give them an opportunity to leave negative feedback (ie in retaliation over old business).
Does your item description say what the minimum time is in which you require a) first contact from the buyer, and b) cleared payment?

Date: 2004-06-15 04:55 pm (UTC)-Not in specific. (Though "cleared" payment isn't much of an issue; I only accept PayPal and money orders.) However, I will be emailing him every day until I get a response, and if it isn't prompt, he's going right onto my blocked bidders list, which will at least prevent him from interfering with more of my auctions.
