Primal Plastic
Nov. 20th, 2012 09:21 amWe've recently reorganized our dining room, and there's now some room for a (discreetly concealed) Lego workspace. I've been getting my supplies out of bins and organizing it, and (of course) have at least two big bins full of unsorted parts.
Last week, I had one of those bins open, and dug my hand into it, down to the bottom. I then lifted up a handful, letting the bricks fall between my fingers. I actually felt a tingle up my arm. That move is fundamental to the Lego experience, to digging through a bin looking for the part you want. It's probably been years since I last had the opportunity to do so. Apparently, my hand and brain remember, and some long-dormant neurons fired off. Most awesome.
