[livejournal.com profile] buxom_bey and I saw Argo last night. I recommend it; it's entertaining, keeps the tension going, and only plays with history a little bit. I confess, given my fondness for Lord Of Light and Jack Kirby I would be more interested in the fake-film-within-the-film, but you can't have everything.

Weird moment: Seeing the Azadi Tower rendered in CGI, on faux-80s film stock with lots o' grain.

Hey, here's a blow-your-mind question. Which is more fictional: The sci-fantasy film Argo, or the live sketch comedy show Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip?

Argo.
What made "Studio 60" fail is that the comedy skit show isn't really funny. Sadly, this can be accurate.

I forget if you have seen it, but if you get the chance A and I both quite enjoyed Looper. It's time-travel meets the mob. Quite mind-bendy!

Anyone know if there's a copy of the script around? (The fictional Argo, that is..)
