I believe Real Life Comics makes a good point. Marvel certainly hasn't suffered since Disney bought 'em.

I 100% agree with blue shirt character. I don't see Lucas being out of Lucas's hands as being a remotely bad thing. I've seen some pretty hysterical friends over this news.

I just finished listening to an interview from last year with John Cho (new Sulu) and remembering how amazing the reboot of Star Trek has been. Who's to say we won't fall back in love and get AMAZING stories through the moneybags of the big rat instead of "Faster, with more intensity!!" (which is apparently Lucas's only direction to any of his actors on episode IV.)

I really haven't understood the extreme negative reactions coming out of people for much the same reason.

Disney is by not means perfect... but they have a pretty good chance of doing better than Lucas did on the last 3 films.

While I imagine it's possible Disney could make things worse Lucas has set a rather low bar here.
