I wanted to like this week's Globe Home Of The Week, but there comes a point where "blond oak" becomes "orange oak". Bring anything blue into that house and it'll ignite!
I can't get over all that white. Look, people, unless you have bioplas carpets that will quietly eat anything you track into it, white is a lousy color for a carpet. Add pets or small children into the equation, and we're talking "White carpet = Critical Failure on IQ Roll for a house anyone can live in."
I suspect that house is being staged and none of the furniture is really theirs.Nothing personal in evidence and the furniture is alot of spindly stuff and bland patternless sofas and chairs
The house, from a person-with-child standpoint, is a nightmare. Granite. Corners. Ledges. The fancy landscaping around the in-ground pool. Everything that isn't hard to clean is a deathtrap. Walking distance to Gilette Stadium is not exactly a selling point.
Yay that there's a lift in the garage, I guess. This house was constructed for a specific set of people, and I suspect they're selling at a loss.
Okay, no seriously, look at photo three. Is that a *door* up there above the custom curio cabinet? So you could potentially climb up from the stairs on the other side of the living room wall onto the top of the cabinets and fall down into the living room, if you were so inclined. Photo number 2 appears to be curio cabinet from above, which is a tempting pathway for a leap down on to the couch.
I also note a lack of photos of the door from the master bedroom to the private balcony with hot tub. Exterior view suggests glass sliders - hard to block kids off of, giant insulation problem. Insulation problems in that master bedroom aren't trivial, because it's also above the garage, and doesn't get heat from below.
the thing that really seduces me about that one is the abundance of plumbing. Bathroom AND laundry room... we could do art projects without messing up the kitchen! But it's miles from the T.

I'm home being feverish and bored. Don't mind me.
