Roo: One Year
Aug. 24th, 2012 09:55 amMy daughter is one year old today. Every day is marked by her doing something new and exciting. She's apparently taken her first steps, though I have yet to witness it firsthand. She's climbed up a flight of stairs, and back down again. She often waves and says, "Bye-bye," — at the right moments, even. (She once picked up a toy phone, said, "Bye-bye," into it, and hung it up again.) Sometimes she'll even blow a kiss. She will grab a book when she wants me to read to her.
Of course, her best trick is her oldest one, where I pick her up and she falls asleep on my shoulder. That one continues to leave me a goopy mass.
Here's to many more wonderful years, sweetie.
