My daughter's peekaboo skills continue apace. She's also generalizing them. Previously, we only played peekaboo at close quarters, with some sort of cloth as the hiding device. She's taken to crawling from the living room around the corner into the dining room, then peeking back around the corner expectantly.

"Peekaboo!"
[giggles, hides... returns!]
"Peekaboo!"
[giggles, ad infinitum...]

Object permanence and perspective taking have a surprising number of real-world applications, actually. ;-) Maybe the world would be better off if more parents had encouraged an intensive peek-a-boo phase in their infants.

Actually, encourage her to shout "peekaboo" after shooting. 1: it's less likely to throw off her aim, and 2: no reason to give them any warning.
