Gift-Giving

I'm wondering if Wednesday Comics makes a good gift for kids. (It's a collection of modern superhero comics done in the format of 1930s newspaper comics.)

My main concern is size: It's 18"×11.5" and 4.5 lbs.! (46cm×29cm, 2kg.) If you drop it while your grip is in the wrong place, you're gonna rip pages out...

It would be a bit of a handful for most kids. It's a bit much for me and I'm 6' 1". I'm most comfortable reading it on the dinner table.

I would not give this to my kids who have so far managed not to destroy the boxes of regular comics you've passed on to them (thank you again).
