My mother-in-law has sent us several care packages full of baby clothes. Thanks to her we now have 33 pairs of baby socks. I'm unconvinced that she's gonna need that many, but hey. Now we just need to convince Nana to lay off the pink and frilly. I think I'm going to hit the baby store solo and buy a lot of butch onesies (rockets, superheroes, sports) to balance things out.
But, it's very nice to have the clothes side of things well taken care of at 29 weeks.

Date: 2011-06-09 04:17 pm (UTC)I note: check the care instructions on the frilly stuff. I have a very lovely dress that never got worn because... I refuse to put a baby in something that says dry-clean only. (Who makes dry-clean clothes for a baby?? Sheesh!) I should see if it's a good size for the kid's American Girl doll, though. >_>
Baby socks are good in the winter!

2. To stop people telling you that you should put something on that baby's feet.
Babies who don't walk spend a lot of time in one-piece feety outfits when it's cold. When it's not cold, they aren't walking anyway. So socks are a touch extraneous. But they do shut people up, and for that you cannot have too many.
Yes, but
