Ask Cartoon LJ
May. 12th, 2011 12:08 pmThere's a cartoon I remember from when I was a kid. In it, a dog is chasing some sort of prey animal, and bursts through some obstruction, cornering the prey. He proceeds to bark furiously at it, but it turns out that it's not the prey, but his master, looking angry. Over the course of something like a solid minute, the dog's barks go from loud-n-aggressive ("ROWF ROWF ROWF ROWF") through confused to horrified to sad-n-pathetic ("rowf? rowf? rowf? rowf?").
Anyone remember the name of the cartoon, or at least the main character or studio?
EDIT: It's probably not a Warner Bros. cartoon. I'm pretty familiar with their canon. Based on the similarity with this cartoon, I suspect it's a Yogi Bear cartoon I'm looking for, probably from his first run on The Huckleberry Hound Show. (Or not, heck, I dunno.)

Date: 2011-05-12 04:10 pm (UTC)I'm pretty sure this is Warner Brothers. It may have been used more than once, but I think it's the one where Bugs shows up on a Southern plantation and the Southern gentleman sends his dog after him.
But yeah, that was a good bit
