A Perfect Streak, Broken

Up through yesterday, I'd never been in a hospital for my own sake.

buxom_bey has been suffering from a (possibly pregnancy-induced) migraine since Sunday, and yesterday tried to get in to see her PCP. They couldn't see her, so I eneded up taking her to the local ER. As it happened, I was suffering from a stomach-churning norovirus. I'd planned to just tough it out (drink lots of fluids, get lots of rest, etc.), but since I was going to be at the ER anyway we both checked in. She got fluids, Tylenol, and advice; I got fluids, Zofran, and advice. We're both feeling better but not great, and we're both likely to skip the Hot Foods party on Saturday, for obvious reasons.

In other news, Dwayne McDuffie died a couple days ago, far far too young. He was a writer/creator for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and the DC Animated Universe, and is noted both for writing really good stories, and for promoting characters of color in comics (he was one of the founders of Milestone Media). It's a crying chame he was taken from us so soon.

Hope you both feel better soon! My sister gets pregnancy hormones, bad. With another young one to care for, they actually gave her the hard stuff during her last pregnancy (percoset) so that she was able to cope enough to mind the 2 year old. She'd only take them if she was desperate, which thankfully wasn't often. I hope that this isn't going to turn into a pattern for Bey. :/

My mom used to say she LOVED being pregnant... because for at least 9 months straight she'd be assured of no migraines.

My sister just had the norovirus thing. Thankfully I haven't seen her since Arisia so I think I'm safe, but she was hella sick.
I am being super paranoid on the T these days! I'm sorry you guys aren't feeling well.
