I took today off because buxom_bey wasn't feeling well, and now it turns out I'm suffering from the norovirus that's going around. Bleh.

CDC says the incubation period is generally 24-48 hours. I guess I probably picked it up myself at the party on Saturday, since I started feeling icky in the wee hours of Monday morning and was mildly nauseous most of Monday.

I'm actually pretty relieved to find out norovirus is going around (again). I was afraid there was something wrong with the chicken soup I made Sunday night for dinner, and I've got five containers of it in the freezer!

Since it's been 72 hours, in theory, I'm OK. However, if woodwardiocom is just NOW starting to feel ill, something is wrong, or it's only a matter of time for me.
Then again, my wife and I didn't eat the soup.

When I got it at Christmas, I was at my parents' house, and not one of the many family members I saw that weekend came down with it as far as I know. So maybe you just got lucky!

Actually, if it's norovirus, folks elsewhere are saying that one is contagious longer than that. More like a 3 days or longer, I think....
