What I'm Up To

woodwardiocom-Apart from messing about with a new toy (i.e., LJ), I'm trying to plot a short detective-style story that's going to be a submission to Dark Horse Comics. I've got the main characters spec'd, and where-n-when my hero meets them, but I need to determine what clues they give her, so she can ID the villain. I just dug Randisi's Writing the Private Eye Novel out of my shelves. I'll see if it has anything helpful.
-In other news, I finished the model kit I was working on. My brother gave it to me last Xmas. He found it while antiquing -- it's a 70s-vintage Klingon Battle Cruiser kit. He paid 'bout $1 for it; it was half-assembled by someone incompetent, and it was a sucky kit to begin with. The result, after I got through with it, is about 40% glue and paint, but it looks pretty good. Pictures once my digital camera arrives.
-By way of segue: I've made enough money on eBay to justify getting a good camera, so I can make even more. I've got a stack of 1980s comic book posters that I think I can get beaucoup bucks for, but only if I can put up good pictures. Taking frame grabs through my mid-90s video camera is not getting the job done. I eBay under "woodward@io.com", so check it out and help pay my rent.
