-As an eBay retailer, I worry about managing people's expectations. Which means, making sure the buyer isn't disappointed once they get the item. One of the Magic: The Gathering cards I sold (a Black Lotus) went for $610; obviously, that's a lot of expectations to manage. I could have written a novel about the card's condition, and still had a pissed-off customer.
-He left feedback for me yesterday: "HIGH DOLLAR AUCTION RECEIVED IN CONDITION AS STATED, GREAT EBAYER!!!" So, [phew].
(I should mention that I got seriously paranoid about packing it. Card went in plastic sleeve, in 6" by 6" stay-flat enevlope, with address on it, in ziplock, sandwiched between thick cardboard, with "If found, address inside," written on it, inside a document-size stay-flat envelope, with "Do not fold," written on both sides.)
