Still on vacation, which thus far has consisted mostly of doctor's appointments (mostly routine) and projects around the house. I am now seeing the downside of staycations. Cheaper, yes, but if this was a go-cation, I wouldn't feel obliged to clean the basement.

On Saturday, Zeph/[livejournal.com profile] cathijosephine moved in with [livejournal.com profile] buxom_bey and me. This should be good for all of our finances. Plus, y'know, we adore having her around, so . . .

I know that feeling of, I can't relax around a house with so many projects to do! Try making a Top 10 list and doing one (and ONLY one) project each day. We really enjoyed our baby-cation in July because you can't unpack a house from 150 miles away.

Even when your day is interspersed with chores, the ability to put the stuff down and say "I'm going to have a nap now" is one of the best parts of a stay-cation.

(Substitute "nap" with "cup of tea", "chapter of that book over there", or "hot sex" as you feel is appropriate. All are features of the stay-cation that I commend to you.)
