Time spent browsing BoardGameGeek.com, plus idle speculation on what my hobbies would be if I won the lottery, has me dreaming of beefing up my crafting skills and building really nice editions of classic games. Like, a Risk board where each territory is cut from semiprecious stone (like this globe). Or for Advanced Cvilization, having each trade goods card be a little placard of wood and glass with a bit of the actual trade good (hide, salt, bronze, etc.) sandwiched in there. (Gold foil for the gold cards, of course. And the oil/wine/dye cards might be tricky.)
Ah, to dream . . .

Tom
p.s. Agricola has some fans out there who've really pimped out their game.

Date: 2008-09-27 06:08 pm (UTC)In the rulebook, it says that "person" means your family member tokens, and "player" means you the person playing the game.
On the second rules explanation board, it says that "a player who becomes pregnant" may also build a minor improvement....
