GURPS Banestorm
Mar. 17th, 2004 12:34 am-From this page I see that GURPS Banestorm has been at least kinda announced. So I'll admit that I'm working on it with my distinguished co-author, Phil Masters, for release in '05. I'm pretty damn excited to be updating Yrth (the world of the Banestorm) to a new edition. Yrth has been a part of GURPS for-frickin'-ever, since the Man to Man days. And now I get to bend it to my will.
(For those of you not familiar with it, Yrth is my publisher's main fantasy setting for roleplaying. It's Tolkien-esque in that it has Elves, Halflings, dragons, et al, but very different in that it also has Christianity, Islam, Asian martial arts, pseudo-French swashbucklers, etc. And I get to make it even cooler.)

There are some amusing things here and there in Pyramid -- going to be snaffling any of those, or is it purely from y'all's twisted minds?
And.... darn. I don't have any demands to make. How can I be aggravating and annoying when I'm sure that you're going to do a great job, and I look forward to seeing it?
Um. Oh, okay. Map. A good map that explains what all those dotted lines are. That would be good. And, um... I'm done now. I'll go off and sulk pathetically.

-A better looking map is outside our domain. A map that makes more sense, that we can do. Like, latitude and longitude lines instead of an inaccurate compass point. More detail where it is needed. And no more being hobbled by artifacts of the original Orcslayer map.

Heck, I'd settle for a more understandable map key. *sniffle*
(Darnit, how am I supposed to intelligibly express the enthusiasm I have without more suggestions. Unfortunately, the last Yrth stuff I did was a GIN/Yrth crossover, and I know that's not likely to get in. I suppose I'll just have to jump onto the playtest thing and cling.)
