Honeymoon Photos 5: Costumes and Corsets
Sep. 15th, 2007 12:39 pmDragon*Con has spectacular eye-candy . . .

A photo I decided not to remove redeye from . . .

Steampunks and clockwork corsets.

Dressed as Carol Burnett dressed as Scarlett O'Hara.

Doctor Who'sPersephone Cassandra and staff.

Colonel America wants
buxom_bey's braaains . . .

tk7602 and the Serenity crew.

A dick in a box . . .

. . . Andy Dick.

"Assume defensive positions!"

I think it's fair to assume
buxom_bey was asking for it.

There were a few catgirls-with-pasties running around . . .

dancer, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and Bey.

Boobies and babies . . . something for everyone!

A very nice Doctor Mid-Nite.

Yet another example of how "stormtrooper" is the new black.

Bloodrayne or somesuch. I wonder what it's like going through the con with cameras always clicking behind you?

A really spot on Adam West Batman.

Two Green Lanterns and an Orange Bey. The guy on the right looked exactly like Alan Scott (except for having the ring on the wrong hand).

A really spectacular Dark Phoenix costume.

People with really nice costumes start getting this facial expression by the second day of a con. The "oh god not another photographer" expression . . .

See, Wondy here has it, too.

My goodness. (Note Bey over her shoulder.)

lachesis and Bey.

Tarot and possibly Queen Gorgo.

Around this point I perfected the technique of asking, "Pretty lady in red and black! May I?"

A Routh Superman, a Welling Clark Kent, and a Reeve Superman.

Dee Dee and Dee Dee from Batman Beyond.

A really spectacular Hawkman (the wings were layers of foam rubber).

I don't know who they're supposed to be, but I'm sure they'll make the Rockettes very happy.

So, a Cylon, a bounty hunter, and a Psycho Gundam walk into a bar . . .

He was spot on, to the point where I wondered briefly if it was the actor. You can't quite see it, but he has the katana across his back.

"Pretty blond lady in black! May I?"
"Sure, so long as you don't insult me afterwards."
"???"

We like the corsetry, we do.

Date: 2007-09-15 05:38 pm (UTC)We're pretty sure it's Dr Who's Cassandra, not Persephone, and I feel very sure that is Queen Gordo from 300, since I spent much of the movie thinking about how I would love to be able to wear that dress but it would never look (as) good on a normal person.
