Speaking of Wedding Craziness

So, I walk out of our office, through the kitchen, into the dark dining room, and step on something long and metallic. I look down, and there's my tape measure, extended across the floor from the living room into the dining room, at least 20 feet.

Me: Honey?

Her: Yes?

Me: My tape measure is on the floor of the dining room.

Her: Oh, uh, yes.

Me: Since you left it out, I can only conclude that you're concerned the house is shrinking.

Her: [giggles] No! I was trying to estimate the processional. That's why I was counting along with the music, earlier? I wanted to see how long walking that distance would take.

Me: Oh, okay.

Her: I just hadn't gotten back out there to pick it up, yet.

Me: Okay. [I walk off, then return] Just in case you were worried, the house isn't shrinking.

Her: [giggles]

(And, later . . . )

Her: [perusing Dragon*Con website] Honey, are you sure I can't seduce anyone else while we're on our honeymoon?

Me: Yes. Not even Adam Baldwin.

Well, perhaps she’s concerned the house is growing. Or the tape measure is shrinking. Or perhaps she was trying to estimate whether Adam Baldwin would fit in checked baggage if tied appropriately. (You know, for after the honeymoon.)
