. . . Y'know, if this perma-bruise on my leg doesn't go away in a few years, I may get a tattoo over it just to make it look "on purpose".

Though I hear the shin is one of the most painful places on the body to get a tattoo . . .

(Christmas, 2005. I was making a fire, breaking a piece of wood over my knee, the wood broke, my leg slammed forward into the hearth. The doc says the bruise may go away, or it may not. For some reason, it's been a lot more noticeable this summer than last.)

I mis-read that at first and thought you said that the skin is one of the most painful places on the body to get a tattoo. Yes, I imagine it would be.

Strange -- I've never heard of a bruise that won't go away. Did the doctor explain why not?
