-My brother, in his blog, points to an article on the decline of the magazine cover. I kinda wondered what the fuss was about, until I realized I don't read any magazines that feature that sort of cover.
-One magazine I do read is Wired (mostly because it makes good fodder for writing SF -- I'm largely unconcerned about its journalistic merit). And Wired isn't afraid to get funky with its cover:

Date: 2004-02-23 09:26 am (UTC)I'm a little bitter about the "Jobs Are Going To India" cover- 26 of my co-workers have just been replaced with Indian workers earning $4,000-$6,000/year. Someday the only high-tech jobs left in the US will be the executives.
