-My degree of evilness may be measured thus:

-Yesterday I introduced a number of my friends, including [livejournal.com profile] buxom_bey, to the story of the Tailypo.

-This morning, I came back to the bedroom to find Bey still asleep, as usual. I crawled up on top of the covers, she woke up a bit, and smiled up at me muzzily, as I said . . .

"Tailypo, tailypo, all I want's my tailypo!"

-Heh heh heh . . .

Back at my alma mater, we all watched a screening of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

This shook a few people who were more subject to the paranoia of the film than we.

So we went and got a Hubbard squash, placed at the foot of the bed of one of the more susceptible viewers, and then had a friend play "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes outside her dorm window.

Her roommate reported that the reaction was everything that we were hoping for.

Evile and cruel, you are.

I didn't get to mention it yesterday, but "The Golden Arm" is still my all-time favorite jump story to tell. I do "high-pitched ghostly voice" to a T.

<googles> <goggles> Well, nobody will ever be able to claim she didn't know what she was getting herself into.

That's if we assume a constant level of evil over time. Personally I think we can expect an increase, although I would hesitate to guess the rate.

::snork:: Back in my old camp counselor days, I once told a similar story to a bunk full of 12 year olds. (Except that I started it off by injecting versimilitude with the line "You may remember that unsolved murder case a few years back...") After the punchline I left the bunk, waited about 5 minutes for them to almost settle down, and started scratching at the screened window closest to the bed of the most nervous kid in the bunk. Screams and mass hysteria ensued. The bunk counselor didn't get to leave the bunk that evening and it was a long time before she forgave me.

DW still hasn't forgiven me for introducing him to that story...
