Money

-God, I'm stressed about money.

-It's amazing how much difference the simple binary distinction between having a job and not having a job makes. One little bit, that some hypothetical RealLifeEditor.exe could twiddle like the difference between #FF0000 and #FF0001. Tomorrow, someone could offer me a job that would make the difference between having to go further into debt, and being able to simply . . . stop . . . worrying . . . about . . . money.

-The market does seem to be picking up. The job postings that fit my skills are thicker on the ground. But until I get a call, the stress will just lurk, and loom, waiting to turn into a panic attack.

(HUG) I guess maybe it's time to take a shit job, just so you'll have something? Have you looked around at the local bookstores? Call if you need to talk.

i'm really sorry. :( i hope something comes up really soon. it can be so ... demoralizing and depressing not to have a job. much better somehow when someone is demanding something of you (and of course not only that but paying you for it).

good luck.

I know what that stress is like. Mark just started a job after six months without. You've got my sympathy, and my good wishes for finding something soon.

I can understand the stress... been there, done that, had the near break down mentally that comes with it if it lasts. Make sure you don't let it stop you from eating right, getting exercise, socializing or getting sleep. These are essential to keep it from overhwelming you (I failed this previously and it can trash you if you let it, believe me).

Gads, I know the feeling. Heh, gimme a week or two and I'll be right there with ya! I have no idea how you've made it this long without cracking up. You must be one of those stable people I hear about sometimes on TV. ;)
Well, in my opinion, the job market can't stay so bad forever that someone such as yourself cannot find something fitting. Good things will happen soon.
