-A Bachelor's in Computer Science from Wesleyan, four years experience in information services, two years programming in C and assembler, four years programming in ASP, VBScript, XML, and Java, seven years as a professional author.

-And the frickin' temp agency says, "None of your experience is in an Administrative Assistant position, therefore we believe we are probably the wrong staffing service for you."

-Later in the day I shall be withering them under the scorching gaze of my offended pride. Like I couldn't assist and administrate. Bah!

-So, now to dig up a temp agency that actually values technical acumen...

To be fair, technical expertise doesn't necessary translation to organizational ability. I've known a number of programmers who couldn't assist or administrate their way out of a paper bag. Of course, that's not to say that you're one of those.
