"Kids shows", being shows for kids in this context, should have an apostrophe: "kids' shows". Shows about kids are "kids shows".

(Not that I don't like the strip, particularly the recent poly plotline. It's just that most online comics with grammar problems (i.e., almost all of them) don't also have a Grammar Nazi character.)
