(I couldn't commit to a multi-month full-time project at a lower price, as it would have prevented me from accepting better work if it came along.) No, I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to say what the project would have been.

-Well. Better send out a few more resumes, call the temp agency, and resume selling stuff on eBay.
