-I took a glance through Alan Moore and by Melinda Gebbie's Lost Girls at the comic book store yesterday. It's a lot more hardcore than I was expecting. I said to the store owner that, if it wasn't Alan Moore, it would be a very niche product. Of course, even with it being Alan Moore, a $75 triple-hardcover slipcased oversized comic book about the erotic adventures of Alice Liddell, Dorothy Gale, and Wendy Darling, featuring hardcore art by Gebbie (whose style might be described as cotton-candy-esque) is still pretty damn niche.

um...if it wasn't $75, I'd totally buy that.

-The price is definitely one of the factors that makes it niche.

Wow! Just looked through it at our local comic shop. Very impressive, good quality print job and very good paper stock. Not sure I like the art style much but its better some other so called hot artists. Won't be getting it anytime soon but you can get it for much cheaper at Amazon.

-Not today, though I suspect it will be, eventually.

I'm trying to decide if I want it or want to avoid it, because it's simultaneously cool (and belongs in my house on basis of our having small collections of books about all of those things) and beyond potential for brain-breaking.

...But, wow.

I can't think of the appropriate comment about "that kind of crack," but it's for sure a special kind.

...Maybe if it's released in paperback.
