-One of the books I'm currently reading is the new World of Darkness RPG Promethean: The Created. (Recommended to me by doctor_toc, among others.)

-Now I'm mentally reinterpreting The Green Mile as the story of a Promethean. It's always very cool when a new idea has that kind of explanatory power . . .

Ooops, cut off before I had finished... What I'd intended to say was that The Green Mile wasn't a reference I saw bandied about during the creation process, so it's nice to know that there's branches way outside of the original intentions that the game touches on.

Oh, there are lots of things in the Stephen King universe that pop into my head when contemplating Promethian...or at least what I remember from my brief glimpses...

I thought of It, the Crimson King, Roland Decshain, Randall Flagg (in all his incarnations), Thad Beaumont/George Stark...
