-This is a book I read as a kid, and decided to try again as a grownup. Fun stories about teenage boys with a lot more technical aptitude than I had at their age. A bit 1960s in its social awareness, but I can cope. Mildly recommended unless you're hip to the Danny Dunn-Tom Swift-Homer Price genre, in which case it's highly recommended.

Had that, loved it, it's gone now. Need a new copy. Also believe there's a sequel volume.

Yes, there is a sequel. Can't remember the name, but it surfaced when Sweetie was going through old boxes of stuff. Still fun!

-According to the book itself, three sequels, including one collection and two short novels.

Two?! I picked up a copy of The Big Kerplop when I got my copies of the collections, but I didn't see anything about a second stand alone.

That was one of my favorites as a kid. I still have a cassette tape somewhere of me reading a story at around age 6 or 7, with my dad recording it. :-)

Boy, that brings back a few memories!

That was one of my absolute favorite books as a kid. In recent years I picked up a used copy, as well as the other story collection, and found that while the stories in the other collection were a bit over-the-top, the original one was still a fun read. Should try to find the novels sometime.

(I liked Homer Price too, but I'd probably hate it now, if for no other reason than they tore down that gorgeous old Victorian to put up another ugly mass-produced tract house.)

-Well, they moved it, instead of tearing it down.

Loved that book, just wish there'd been girls in the club. I remember the one about the sea monster...

(Hi, I friended you after the latest Ozarque friending discussion cause you're fun to read.)
