-Eventually dragged myself out of the house Wednesday afternoon to pick up comics. Intended to make a quick trip of it, but starvation yanked me into a restaurant. Comics I picked up included Fantastic Four #500 (pretty good; Reed has to learn magic, and is confronted by the fact that as a wizard, he's a pretty good idiot), Generations III by Byrne (quirky, but imaginative). JSA (a solid read), and the last issues of Doom Patrol and Power Company, both of which deserved not to be cancelled. Also, a CrossGen trade (they're a very reliable comics company), and the first volume of the new Battle Angel Alita manga, which was as weird and introspective as the first series.
-Then my new digital camera showed up, and I began to play with it, as chronicled earlier in this LJ. It's a very nice piece of gear.
-Jen/[livejournal.com profile] anotherjen and I went with the crowd to see Pirates which was a fine film. Well-constructed plot, good effects, good actors, only a smidge too long. And, of course, we saw it with a fun crowd, which helps.
-A note to the employees of the Boston Common theater: I know you have your rules, and they're probably quite sensible, but annoying 40 people at once doesn't strike me as a good way of encouraging future custom.
-Jen is still fabulous. Mentioning it every time we have great sex would probably count as gloating, so I'll generally waive doing so. We're also getting along well in ways that don't involve nudity, so yay us.
