-So, last night self and housemate Darlene/[livejournal.com profile] darlene_ford threw a holiday party, with a great deal of assistance from Jen/[livejournal.com profile] anotherjen. Everything went swimmingly. We made too much food, but better too much than too little, we get to eat the leftovers, and we have some empirical data for the next party. On my side I invited Jen (of course) my brother Nat and his girlfriend Em, my sister Kate/[livejournal.com profile] signsoflife, her husband Barry, and her housemate Jess, and my friends Hal, Michelle, Josh, and Jess (and got J & J's son Tobey as a freebie). Darlene invited a similar number of her friends, all of whom were quite nice, and I actually seem to be retaining most of their names. That made around 20 people at the party's peak, which was definitely a physical cap to what our apartment could hold.
-As Jen recounts in her journal, this was the first time she met any of my family and some of my friends. That went great too, as I knew it would. They're all good people.
-Now, back to work...

...let me be struck down like a helpless plastic robot model thingy, caught in the untamed tresses of a bookcase-height party guest. :P thanks for a lovely time, (Co-)Host With Most -- m.
