Five Geek Social Fallacies

-Not all of these apply equally to my community. Amongst the poly crowd, I suspect some are emphasized and some are lessened. Still, interesting.

Um, I don't think I'm completely neurotic enough to fit this scale, but it does help explain a lot of illogical herd behaviour.

The poly-crowd does seem to have a bad case of GSF#1 - there's always
some guy who's not cool with the fact that I don't need another guy in my bed. I can't be the only one who avoids massings of the poly crowd because there's always one of them.

Actually, most socio-political groups have some version of GSF#1 which indicates on the surface that tolerance of all beliefs/colors/practices is a great virtue, but it is commonly understood to mean tolerance of all like-minded people. Don't ask them to tolerate a conservate Republican.

Leave room for GSF #6 - all human behavior by such intelligent people is completely logical.
