-Let's see, called the company I had a live interview at, turns out they haven't decided yet. So good news, they haven't rejected me yet, bad news, I have more competitition. Old friend Hal called and said they might have an opening at his company. Sent him off a tweaked version of my resume. Got my car back from the shop Monday.
(Brief sidenote: I drive a '94 Saturn Wagon with over 100,000 miles on it, had it for 5 years, and it almost never gives me trouble. Its recent visit to the shop was due to somebody backing into it in a parking lot. I highly recommend Saturns.)
-Sent in my panels form for Arisia, and booked my room. This will be my [counts] tenth Arisia, and the ninth for which I've done panels. Trivia factoid: I did the coloring for the current version of the lens.
-Had a splendid date tonight with Jenwa/
jencallisto. Ate good Indian food, gabbed about publishing and roleplaying, went to see School of Rock, which was really quite good. I'm not a huge Jack Black fan, but he can walk the walk. Heck, his eyebrows can walk the walk.
-I'm still behind on my writing, but the end of Project WOMI is in sight. Should be able to finish it this week or next,

Yay! saturns... we have two, I drive a '92 SL1, (106K miles)the only reason it goes in the shop is regular maintenance, and G drives a '99 wagon, his second, (he totaled his '96 wagon a little more than a year ago, and bought another one, nearly identical but for year.)
I like the fact that I can take it to the dealer (who I trust to know the car and it's issues, since they only work on Saturns) and know they are not screwing with me when it comes to maintenance. When I needed tires, they told me, then told me I could get them cheaper at Sullivan Tire. When I needed muffler work, they sent me to Midas. They don't treat me like a woman who knows nothing about cars. (As a teen and early 20something, I did all the work on my own car, back in the days of carburators and choke starting on a cold morning...) When I go in and tell them that 'X' is wrong and they check it out and it is, they realize I know what I'm talking about.
