-Y'know, part of the problem of writing a book on giant monsters while simultaneously jobhunting is that you start to look for job descriptions that say: "Employee will be responsible for destroying Tokyo and other Pacific Rim cities, kicking the $#!+ out of King Ghidorah, and thwarting invading aliens from the Black Nebula. Candidate must have destructive atomic breath or equivalent."

When we were talking about slime molds last night, I was thinking what excellent giant monsters they'd be. The cytoplasmic slime molds have been done of course, but something neat could be done with the dictysteliods (cellular slime molds.)
