-So, was cat-sitting again. Midori, the older female, was sweet but distant, though she did come sit on my lap at one point. Murphy, the male kitten, was insane again. I'm going to have nightmares about a black kitten trying to crawl up my nose. And bigger; he's growing like some tasteless metaphor involving Viagra.

-While I was there, I noticed a dozen boxes of books on the curb across the way. Turns out the previous resident had moved into an assisted-living home, and the realtor had dumped his immense poli-sci library out for recycling. So, I stuffed my Saturn full, and will be selling 'em on eBay. 100% profit, baby! Pity his book tastes didn't include stuff I'm actually interested in.

-Watched a few movies while fending off nasal cat-invasions. Equilibrium had few surprises, but it had some thought put into its script, and I think they invented two new kinds of gun fu, so they get points for that. And Bale will make a good Batman. Also watched part of the animated Return of the King, which is almost as scary as the animated Lord of the Rings. Casey Kasem as Merry, eeiigh. Still, the song "Where There's a Whip, There's a Way" (as sung by the Orcs of Mordor) is catchy. Amusing note: On the inside cover of the DVD case, they list the chapter titles... for the wrong movie!
