-I'm currently cat-sitting again, and my friends have a Tivo. This is not good. I was watching Enterprise (why, I'm no longer sure), and when it was over, I hit a few buttons experiementally, and discovered it had recorded last week's ep, which I missed. So I watched that, too. The next day, I watched the new American Coupling "live" (bleh). Partway through, I had to get a drink, and being able to pause live television really made the sale. I came back, resumed play, and during the next commercial fast-forwarded until I caught up with "the present". This is what owning a time machine must feel like.

Hey there! Good to see you, even if only digitally. I totally LOVE my TiVo, although it does mean I watch more TV then I used to. On the other hand, I never channel surf aimlessly in the middle of the night now.

The BBC version of Coupling rocks. I'm not going to watch the US one because (a) everyone says it sucks and (b) I think it might sully the good version it is copying.

-I think I'm going to give the American Coupling one more episode. The brief snippets of original material in the first ep were at least smile-worthy.

(And, of course, now that my local cable company has decided I need to pay extra for BBC America, it's the only Coupling I've got. Uh, as it were.)

My friends the Shers have Tivo (I can't be bothered to remember which letters are LC and UC in that name- don't get me started on eBay) and one night they watched West Wing about 5 min behind the pace of the show, and slowly caught up to real time, and when the end credits rolled, Beth asked Dan "can we watch next week's episode now?"
