-Went to see T3 today. Not as bad as the reviews led me to expect. It doesn't feel like they put as much thought into it as they did with T2, but some of the action sequences are nice (especially the crane chase), and the ending was a bold move. (I rather like the New York Times review which says that T3 "[leaves] the Great Ideas to bona fide public intellectuals like Keanu Reeves and the Hulk.") So, mildly recommended.
-Now that I've finished one model kit, time to start another. This one will be the Perfect Grade Gundam RX-78-2, w/Custom Set #2. (Henceforth referred to as the "78-2".) This'll be a big project -- this is one of the most complex giant robot kits made. I'm starting with the bazookas and "chain hammer" from the Custom Set. There's a reason for starting with the optional extras: Your typical builder spends less effort on the boring extras, and your typical builder also gets kinda bored towards the end of a project. If you leave the extras to last, you're likely to do a very half-assed job of them. So, I do them first, and try to do some more important part (like the head or external armor) last.
-Housemate Darlene is back from her camping weekend. Good to have her back; it gets way boring around here.
-Okay, back to writing a comic book script for the first time. Wish me luck.
