-My current contract is at Bose. So, there's a Wave Radio on every desk. However, because of some mildly strict policies about maintaining a productive workplace environment, none of them are on, ever. They're mostly serving as $300 digital clocks...

Does "maintaining a productive workplace environment" mean "don't bother other workers with your music" or "music = non-productivity"? At my office, you gotta wear headphones if you want to listen to music (and many of us do). I can't do most of my job with music playing, but there are certain time-consuming tasks which require no brainpower (resolving cross-references) where a little music helps.

-I don't know what the exact policy is. The radios themselves (at least, the one in my cube) don't have headphone jacks. (Since the whole point of Wave Radios is that they produce great sound in a small package, a headphone jack might be seen as missing the point...)

-No, but A) I'm middlin' honest, B) it's kinda large and bulky to smuggle out, C) I don't have need or room for another radio, and D) I might get caught.

Sounds like you have more than enough reasons to just leave it there for the next poor soul to undergo the temptation/torment/psych experiment? of having a really good but silent radio in one's cube at work....
