State of the Bey
Apr. 6th, 2009 02:02 pmMany thanks to those who offered to give
buxom_bey a lift to her doctor. The appointment ended up being this morning, on very short notice, and Bey had practically no voice, so I ended up taking the morning off so I could describe her symptoms for her.
She actually got to see her doc today (plus a med student), instead of the unhelpful nurse she saw on Thursday. Their current guess is that she has galumphing pneumonia, and they've given her the Good Stuff: Robitussin cut with codeine. (Plus a couple other things.)
The timing of this illness could be better. We close on the new house in a week, and the movers are coming in two weeks. We still have things under control, but I suspect this is the sort of trial that makes husbands into legends . . .
