Sorting Legos

First reaction: Omigod, they make a tiered Lego sifter! I've been seriously thinking about improvising such a device out of chickenwire and such. This, this is brilliant!
Also, partway down, they suggest sorting them by color. This is useful only if you're working on something red, and don't want a bunch of useless parts clogging up your working area, but otherwise, nooo. The human eye (assuming no color blindness) is great at sorting by color. Once you've sorted by shape, you can reach into the 2x4 brick pile and pull out a blue 2x4 brick very easily.
