When Two Hemispheres of Plutonium Collide

buxom_bey's Aunt Carol was visiting from Germany a few weeks ago. As is traditional, we did our Christmas with her just before she left. As is also traditional, she got me a treh nifty Lego set. So, my Lego-interest was recently bumped back up.

Meanwhile, thanks to the recent movie, and also to deadwinter prompting me to read Transformers: Infiltration, my Transformers interest was bumped back up.

And, when two of my interests reach critical mass at the same time, the results can be . . . well, time-consuming.

Suffice to say, building Optimus Prime's head out of Lego, so it will fit into a space about 30mm on a side, is tricky . . .

Brains in the Morning, Brains in the Afternoon

It's really startling how much smarter I am in the morning than in the afternoon.

(This fact highlighted by a software architecture problem that was befuddling me all afternoon yesterday, but which I solved with fifteen minutes attention this ante meridiem.)
