Saturday, went to see Spider-Man 3 with [livejournal.com profile] buxom_bey and my brother, sis-in-law, and co. Overall, I found it to be not as good as the first two, but certainly worth seeing. Thomas Haden Church particularly surprised me as Sandman — in human form, he looked exactly like my mental picture of the character. I do think there were too many villains. And, in my day, superheroes actually made an effort not to take their mask off all the time. Tobey's Spidey apparently has a deep desire to make sure every villain knows his secret ID . . .

Sunday, more fun with the Firefly RPG I'm in, in which my character A) actually got to be competent in something like combat, but B) ended up having to improvise his way through a B&E, including arranging two of the locals in a Compromising Position. We really don't have the skillset to be sneaky, as yet. Afterwards, cuddled up on the couch with Bey and [livejournal.com profile] mizarchivist and watched Philadelphia Story, a movie that always leaves me wanting more circa-1940 high society hijinks and comedies of remarriage. (Ooo, the suggestion in Wikipedia that Eternal Sunshine is a 21st-centuy comedy of remarriage is terribly clever . . . )
