The Waiter Test
Dec. 4th, 2006 05:12 pm-I think it was Dave Barry who said, "A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person."
(I recall a girlfriend pointing out that I'd forgotten to say "please" to a waiter . . . of course, that was also the occasion where I was buying for 23 people, and left a proportionally generous tip, so . . . )
