Wedded Bliss

buxom_bey and I attended dietrich and imlad's wedding on the Cape. My goodness, that was an event. The ceremony was pagan, complete with creating the circle, symbols of the four elements, a fool to appease the fey, etc. Bey and another lady performed the firespinning immediately after the recessional. Very cool. And the couple looked fabulous; dietrich is a tall woman, and she was wearing a fantastic gold dress that made her look like an autumnal Titania; the kind of Titania who can do dire or wonderful things to you by flicking an eyelash. imlad's outfit was all ruffles and epaulets and buttons; he didn't look quite so mythical, but he certainly looked drop-dead handsome.
-I'm not pagan myself (except in the abstract way that, to the extent that I am spiritual, I tend to mix-n-match). but it was very nice to see the pagan parts of our community in full bloom. And it was also very cool to see the happiness dietrich and imlad create together. Best wishes to them, forever.
