-This is a novel about a boy born with superhuman intelligence, who tries to find his place in the world, and ultimately fails, despite the help of others of his kind. Written in 1935, Stapledon doesn't quail at tackling some serious issues, which includes some deconstruction of nationalism, religion, philosophy, sexuality, and the moral responsibility of beings as much smarter than us than we are compared to our pets. Nevertheless, it never quite goes anywhere. Not the first novel in this demigenre, and certainly not the last, but still important. Mildly recommended, particularly to those interested in the evolution of SF as a genre.

-According to its amusingly redundant website intro, Wyman-Gordon is " . . . [T]he global leader in the design, manufacture, assembly, and integration of complex metal components and products in the world."

(If this seems completely random to you, please ignore.)
